Differing Bodyminds: Crip Theory in the Arts and Humanities

NeuroEpigenEthics (Antwerp University), Cultural Studies (KU Leuven) and STUK (Leuven) organize a two-day doctoral seminar focusing on crip theory, both from a theoretical and methodological perspective combined with a one-day symposium to approach the same topic from a practical and artistic point of view, with a focus on Dance.
Invited speakers: Robert McRuer, Jane Gallop, Carrie Sandahl, Sonja Jokiniemi.
This will take place in full-person, in Leuven, April 19-20-21.
— You can choose how to participate: it is possible to only come for the doctoral seminar or the symposium, but you can of course also combine the two
The two-day doctoral seminar with Robert McRuer, Jane Gallop and Carrie Sandahl focuses on the most recent theoretical and methodological developments in crip theory.
McRuer’s session will be on crip time, pandemic issues and multi-language.
Sandahl’s session will be on crip and performance
Gallop’s session will be on her latest book about age, sex and disability
Each session lasts for ca. 3 hours
